2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. This Semiquincentennial, also known as America 250, marks a time to acknowledge our nation’s past and to imagine our shared future. Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) invites you to join us in this moment starting today.
Founded in 1867, WRHS is an American history organization with seven properties across Northeast Ohio. Through the use of its vast and varied collections, WRHS inspires people to discover the American experience by exploring the tangible history of Northeast Ohio with dynamic exhibitions, programs and experiences. WRHS is a Smithsonian Affiliate and is a member of the America 250-Ohio Commission. Having achieved accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the highest level of national recognition afforded to the nation’s museums, WRHS is well positioned to help lead the statewide commemorative activities.
All are invited to begin exploring today with signature events and exhibits now open at Hale Farm & Village and the Cleveland History Center. More announcements will be made soon online at wrhs.org and through social media.
