Logan Williams
Logan Williams noticed people sleeping on Cleveland's streets in the dead of winter. Determined to do what she could, Williams began collecting blankets, socks, and objects that provide a bit of comfort to those in need. She keeps these "Blanket Blessings" in her mother's car, ready to give at random. Today, Williams has given over 300 care packages to the homeless. For Williams, Giving Black means making a plan and taking action. Her advice to others is to figure out what can be done, and do it!
Chantal Brown
Chantal Brown is an old soul determined to give. Motivated by her personal experiences with loss and workshops at Case Western Reserve Case University's Social Justice Institute, Brown works to improve relations between Cleveland's youth and its police. She is a Social Justice Warrior, working with the organization Empowering Youth, Exploring Justice (EYEJ). This shirt and memorial bracelet represent just two of the causes important to Brown. As a recent Shaw High School graduate, she has big plans from leading youth field trips to the police academy to becoming a civil rights lawyer. Brown sees Giving Black as the duty to care for your culture first. Her goal is to learn why things are the way they are and then to go and change them.
