A museum can be many things: a historical repository, an educational institution, a research center, and a nexus of discovery for its visitors. The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum has served as a vehicle for all of the above since its inception in 1965.
There is much more than meets the eye at the Crawford, with hundreds of objects in the collection which, for various reasons, are seldom seen. Some are unique, some are overly large and difficult to display, and some are inherently fascinating but because of their physical condition or relevance do not merit inclusion in a permanent display.
For this exhibit, our curatorial staff have combed through the museum’s storage areas and selected a group of significant items to come “Off the Rack” for our guests to enjoy.
