Opening September 8, 2022, this exhibition gathers WRHS collections from across the museum and archives for display in the Chisholm Halle Costume Wing.

Details

It will include garments, decorative arts, archival documents, photographs, and paintings that tell stories of triumph and tragedy in Northeast Ohio. From the desegregation of the Girl Scouts, to wartime struggles, to athletics and spiritual life, it will delve into issues of race, class, and gender. Its stories will feel particularly meaningful in this moment of recognizing and honoring frontline workers and the people that keep our country going.

Highlights

Western Reserve Historical Society is the oldest cultural institution in Northeast Ohio, the region's largest American history research center, and one of the leading genealogical research centers in the nation.
