Fun on the Farm: From Farm to Table

Saturday, October 17 - From Farm to Table: Fall Harvest Ages 5–8

Sessions are held at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, with a maximum of 10 children per session to ensure a quality experience for all attendees.

What did a family do when the garden was full and winter was coming? Children will explore the sights, smells and work of the fall harvest at Hale Farm & Village. They’ll discover how 19th-century families harvested and prepared food for the months ahead.

The program will include a hands-on fall harvest activity, a story about farm life, and a visit to a historic farm site to see how food was prepared and preserved.

  • Hands-on activity: Create a simple harvest craft or take-home fall project
  • Story: A day in the life of a 19th-century farm child during harvest
  • Farm visit: Explore fall crops, food preparation and historic farm tools
  • Snack: A simple seasonal snack

Program Pricing:

• Members: $8 per child (includes one free adult)

• Non-Members: $10 per child (includes one free adult)

• Additional adults: $5 each
