Join us one Thursday a month for educator-led programs for all ages!

Tickets for this event are available in our online Museum store.

Season passes are also available to guarantee access to all eight programs.

All Homeschool Field Trip Series programs are held at the Cleveland History Center (10825 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106).

Agricultural communities depend on having good harvests each year, including all of the farmers and gardeners who contribute to our region today.

  • Ages 3-5 will learn about farms and the animals, fruits, and vegetables they produce.
  • Ages 6-8 will explore the history of farming, from the early Western Reserve to today. 
  • Ages 9-12 will learn about how people in Cleveland produced and distributed food around Ohio and plan a menu that displays Ohio’s best culinary delights.
  • Ages 13+ will examine how food travels from place to place, creating regional and national specialties and contributing to the identity of a place.

Program Admission rates:

  • Students (ages 3-18; pre-registration highly recommended): $9
  • Parents/Guardians: Free
  • Children ages 0-2: Free
  • Parking: $10 per car, flat rate - paid onsite at CHC before leaving.

Logistical Information:

  • All programs run from 10am-12pm on the program date.
  • Please arrive by 9:55am to check in so we may start on time.
  • Families may bring packed lunches to eat onsite after the program.
  • Admission to a Homeschool Field Trip Day includes admission to the museum for the rest of the day.

Please note: homeschool groups or collectives may also schedule group tours or programs at WRHS. Options for the Cleveland History Center are available here.
