Discover the surprising range of colors obtained from natural dyestuffs. Flowers, leaves, nut hulls, and bark from trees provide the palette for dyeing wool fibers in Hale Farm’s Dye Shop. Participants take home 60 yards of dyed wool yarn, simple knit or crochet pattern based on a historical design, and basic instructions for experimenting with natural dyes at home.

Please dress in casual, comfortable clothing (that you won’t mind getting splashed by a little dye).
