Please note: this program is part of our series of Youth Entrepreneurship Education (YEE) Teacher Learning Events for 2024-2025. More information on the series is available below, and more information on YEE is available here.
Join the Cleveland History Center's Education team for an evening of fun and learning, featuring our Fashion After Dark exhibit in its final days. In the Hay-McKinney Mansion, learn about the 1880s-1920s evening wear in Northeast Ohio, and how new developments in lighting technology impacted clothing design. Much like the entrepreneurs featured in our YEE programs, dress shop owners and designers made strategic choices to ensure that customers would seek them out and be satisfied with their purchases. Light refreshments will be served, and plus ones are welcome for this event!
Youth Entrepreneurship Education Teacher Learning Events
In 2024-2025, WRHS will host 7 professional learning events related to our Youth Entrepreneurship Education continuum, which offers field experiences and curriculum for grades 4-7. While some of these events are meant to on-board eligible teachers into the YEE program, others are meant to illuminate aspects of entrepreneurship, innovation, and history that continue to define Northeast Ohio today.
While these events are intended to serve teachers from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and other first-ring districts eligible for participation in the grant-funded field experiences provided by YEE, all teachers are welcome.
All programs in this series will be held at the Cleveland History Center (10825 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106), except the November Road Trip. Road Trip registrants will receive additional instructions once the minimum registration is met.
