For the 2023-2024 school year, the Cleveland History Center is excited to offer our Homeschool Field Trip series for the first time since 2020. Hosted at the Cleveland History Center in University Circle once a month on a Thursday, this year’s Homeschool Field Trip days invite students to dig in to the people, places, and ideas that have made Cleveland what it is today.
Event Details
Students will be grouped and paired with a Museum Educator based on their age (3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and 13+) to ensure age-appropriate program content based on the day’s theme. We reserve the right to combine age groups as needed based on day of attendance. Each program is from 10am-12pm on the day of the event.

January 18, 2024 – Transportation Exploration
Why is transportation important, and how has it changed over time? This month, students will surround themselves with the historic cars, boats, airplanes, and motorcycles of our Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum as they learn how transportation has evolved over time. They will learn about daring expeditions, build map skills, and discover Cleveland’s history as a transportation center and worldwide car capital.
Program Fees
Students: $8 each | Parents: Free | Ages 0-2: Free
Includes full museum admission for the rest of the day, space to eat lunch after the program, and a ride on the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel.
