“Kwanzaa, the African American celebration of black cultural heritage, is simply introduced for young readers or listeners in a book that emphasizes the rituals rather than the seven principles. Text and art highlight the significance of the candles, fruit, and special mat, as well as the importance of family.”

Event Details

This children’s book series will run concurrently with the Fashion After Dark exhibit in the Hay-McKinney Mansion. Narrators will transport young readers through tales of wonder and merriment. Join us every Friday morning for children’s story time, a journey where imagination shines brightly, even in the dark!
