Activities will include music, crafts, storytelling, gifts, games, and refreshments!

The program is Free with Museum Admission.  A limited number of “Zawadi” (Gift) admissions are available on a first come, first served basis. Use promo code ZAWADI for your gift admissions. Limit of 2 “Zawadi” admissions per transaction with advance ticket purchase.

Advance reservations are strongly encouraged (*for catering and gift-giving purposes), but we will also try to accommodate walk-ins on a space-available basis.

Feel free to contact Dr. Regennia Williams at rwilliams@wrhs.org with suggestions for making this a safe, funfilled celebration of Black freedom that incorporates the seven principles of Kwanzaa: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

This African American program initiative is made possible with support from the Western Reserve Historical Society, the George Gund Foundation and Pass It on MAAT.

Western Reserve Historical Society is the oldest cultural institution in Northeast Ohio, the region's largest American history research center, and one of the leading genealogical research centers in the nation.
