WRHS preserves the tangible history of our region, history which can be perceived and experienced in the exhibit galleries, among our properties, and in the research library. The current crisis, brought on by the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, challenges us to reach out to the community to record how we are experiencing this unprecedented medical situation and its economic consequences.
In line with our mission to tell your stories, we are interested in collecting documents, artifacts, sound files, or moving images that show how you are making it through this ongoing crisis. We are interested in photographs, correspondence, journals, artwork, music, poetry, and recipes, anything that shows how you, your family, or your neighbors are responding to the challenges of social distancing.
The materials you share will become a part of the collections of Western Reserve Historical Society. They will help us teach others about our resilience and ingenuity and show how we adapted, as individuals, as institutions, and as a community.
