School Youth Program Inquiry

School Youth Program Inquiry

Our Education programs are ideal for school field trips, scout groups, summer camp outings, and more! We have standards-based programs for all grades that draw from the museum’s collections as well as archival material held in the WRHS Library.

The grade levels listed below are recommendations based on how program content matches Ohio’s Learning Standards, and the program options below are divided between educator-led programs onsite at CHC, outreach to your classroom or virtual options, and guided tours of exhibits or themes through the CHC galleries.

If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, CHC’s Education Department can work with you to develop a program or tour experience appropriate to your needs and classroom learning goals. Please email education@wrhs.org to learn more.

For outreach programs, CHC Education Staff will visit your school with kits of materials to facilitate a 90-minute program in your classroom.
Where our Educator-Led Programs lead students through hands-on activities and explorations focused on particular content or standards, our Guided Tours are available to help students dig deeper into the content in particular exhibits or parts of the museum. Tour guides are prepared to offer content relevant to the students visiting, and answer any questions they might raise. Tours can last from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, and may be the better option for shorter visits to CHC.
(MM/DD/YYY format)
Please note: The average visit length for preschool/pre-K and kindergarten students is between 1 and 2 hours. For grades 1 and up, field trip experiences are usually booked as a 3 hour block that includes a 1.5-2 hour program, lunch time onsite, a ride on the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel, and time to explore exhibits not included in their program.
