This timeline is the result of a collaboration between the Philanthropic Archives and the Foundation Center-Cleveland. In the spirit of celebrating philanthropy and acknowledging Ohio’s bicentennial this year, this timeline is intended to provide an introduction to the events that helped form Cleveland’s vibrant non-profit community over the past 200 years.
