WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located in University Circle in Cleveland Ohio. The Cleveland History Center address is 10825 East Blvd., Cleveland OH 44106. You can find us by the Louis Stokes Memorial Hospital and Cleveland Museum of Natural History. See the map below:

WHEN IS THE MUSEUM OPEN?

Effective July 24, 2020, the Cleveland History Center is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 10am -4pm, with the exception of New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving , Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

We are open Martin Luther King Day (FREE) and President’s Day ($)

IS THERE PARKING AT THE MUSEUM? WHAT DOES IT COST?

Museum attendees can park in our 90-space lot located behind the Cleveland History Center off of Magnolia Drive. Parking is $8 for the first 2 Hours, with each additional 30 Minutes an additional $1. The daily max is $15. WRHS Members have a $5/car flat rate (during museum hours only. Must show membership card at admission desk for discount.) CLEVELAND HISTORY CENTER? I THOUGHT THIS WAS WESTERN RESERVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY?

The Western Reserve Historical Society is composed of 6 locations and various collections. The Cleveland History Center is the headquarters for the Western Reserve Historical Society.

IS THERE A PLACE TO EAT AT THE MUSEUM?

We have a small café on site with light lunch available. All food must be consumed in the museum store to help protect the integrity of our collection.

NOTE: the Museum Store and Cafe are temporarily closed.

 

ARE WHEELCHAIRS AVAILABLE AT THE MUSEUM?

Yes.  Visitors who need wheel chairs can request one upon entrance to the museum at one of the admission desks or in the museum store.

 

IS THERE AN ATM AT THE MUSEUM?

No. One is available at 11457 Mayfield Rd. Cleveland OH  44106.

 

CAN I LEAVE THE MUSEUM AND COME BACK ON THE SAME DAY?

For the safety and health of our staff, volunteers, and guests, timed entry only is available.  Reentry is not permitted at this time.

 

CAN I GET A WIFI SIGNAL AT THE MUSEUM?

Museum guests are welcome to use our free public wifi at any time during their visit. Due to the nature of our museum and the buildings that house our collections cellular reception may be limited.  We also ask that guests remember to silence their phones during visits.

 

CAN I BRING MY STROLLER?

Yes, strollers are permitted at the Cleveland History Center.

 

CAN I TAKE PICTURES IN THE MUSEUM?

Yes! Non-flash photography is allowed in all galleries. Tripods and other special equipment (such as external flashes, monopods, or other camera-assist devices) are not permitted unless prior permission has been obtained. Selfie sticks are allowed provided they do not go beyond barriers.

You, yourself, may be captured by museum photographers during your visit. These images may be used for promotional purposes.

Celebratory photos (such as wedding or prom photos) or portraits (such as senior photos) require special permissions. Please contact our Sales Manager at 216-721-5722 ext. 1405 or email sales@wrhs.org ​

 

IS MY SERVICE ANIMAL PERMITTED IN THE MUSEUM?

Yes, guests with trained service animals are welcome. It is important to note service animals are working animals, not pets. Pets are prohibited on museum property.
