Jul. 13 – Building the Cheesedom

*This workshop will begin promptly at 5:30pm!

Join our partners at Marchant Manor Cheese Shop and CLE Urban Winery for a fun-filled night learning about the history of the Cheesedom years of 19th century Ohio, while exploring the best ways to create your own artisanal cheeseboard!

Event includes full timed workshop with Dr. Kandice Marchant learning about the flavors, textures, and proper cutting techniques for different kinds of cheese–and all the materials to try it out! Guests will each pick from a selection of handcrafted cheeses and accompaniments to build their own board, while sipping and snacking.

Aug. 10 – Pints, Pistols & Petticoats

The annual Civil War Weekend returns to Hale Farm & Village on August 12 & 13, 2023–get in the spirit with this special preview night with behind the scenes experiences featuring unique WRHS Civil War era artifacts and costume collections!

Civil War reenactors and living historians will be providing special presentations and experiences throughout the evening, paired with Great Lakes Brewing Co. pints as well as the Hale Farm craft bar.

Sept. 14 – Architecture & Art on the Farm

Explore the area artisan traditions, fine & folk art cultures, and architectural fashions of the 19th century!

Explore the history of art and architecture, live demonstrations of artists at work, and enjoy some hands-on opportunities to get creative–all while immersed in our lovely historic village.

Oct. 12 – Potions & Possibilities Open House

Get into spooky season with some 19th century spiritualist history and explore the psychology and traditions of palmistry, tea leaf readings, table tipping, mediumship, and more!

Area partners will be onsite with interactive tables, pop-up shops, timed presentations, cocktail mixing workshops, medium readings ($), and a special spooky Hale Farm experience you won’t want to miss (stay tuned for more details, evening schedule, and ticket information)!
