RADwood: Cleveland Goes Rad, is a totally excellent experience at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum! In partnership with RADwood, this exhibit celebrates 1980s and 1990s car culture and the surrounding lifestyle. From loud clothing to unique beats and everything in between, RADwood: Cleveland Goes Rad delves into the culture that shaped a generation of car enthusiasts now entering their thirties and beyond.
This exhibition will features 80s and 90s era cars from the Western Reserve Historical Society Crawford Collection as well as vehicles from private collectors. Each vignette is complemented with examples of lifestyle and fashion of the era. Highlights include the first production DeLorean, originally owned by Cleveland native Charles DeLorean (brother to John Z. DeLorean), and 1982 PPG Pace Car used in the inaugural Cleveland Grand Prix.
About RADwood
Started in 2017 by car enthusiasts, Bradley Brownell, Rick Deacon, Art Cervantes, and Lane Skelton, RADwood began as a low-key car show that has since grown into an international phenomenon. Now, with several shows under their belt, the organizers have partnered with the WRHS Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum to host RADwood: Cleveland Goes Rad.
