What would the Cuyahoga River look like if it hadn’t burned in 1969? Learn about how the fire lead to an environment precedent for regulation and how Carl and Louis Stokes played crucial roles for bringing it all together.
The discussion, held at the WRHS History Center, will look into the science, history, and politics of Cleveland’s burning river…all supplemented by the WRHS archives. It will feature the following experts and organizations:
