Italian American Women’s Network 5^th Annual Networking Event

Benvenuta!  – Welcome!

Join the ladies of the Italian American Women’s Network for their 5^th annual networking event. Benvenuta!  is an evening to share good food and drink and socialize with Italian American women from Northeast Ohio.

Highlights of the evening include:

• Guest speaker Connie Sancetta, longtime volunteer of the WRHS Italian American Collection and president of the Italian American Cultural Foundation, will present her recently published book Here In Cerchio: Letters to an Italian Immigrant and discuss the lives of the contadini, or peasant farmers, of Southern Italy in the early twentieth century.
• A selection of items from the WRHS Italian American Collection, including the original letters from Here In Cerchio.
• RIDES on the Euclid Beach Carousel! The 1910 Carousel built by the Philadelphia Tobaggan Company operated at Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland until the park’s closing in 1969. It resumed operations at the History Center last November.

$25 admission includes parking, one entry into a drawing for a variety of door prizes, and carousel rides.  Advanced registration is required.   Proceeds will benefit the WRHS Italian American Collection.

The Italian American Women’s Network was formed in 2008 and focuses on mutual support, networking opportunities, and the preservation of the values of our Italian heritage.
