History on Tap | Toast the Ghosts

Visit the Cleveland History Center after-hours for a tall glass of History—it’s on tap! Happy hour libations, light hors d’oeuvres, trivia, rarely-seen artifacts, photo ops, and hands-on activities accompany a unique theme each month to take you back to moments in Cleveland’s exceptional past.
This month for History on Tap, join us in the Hay-McKinney mansion as we raise a glass to Clevelanders past who have tried to “reach the other side.” Dabble in divination, sip a spooky- themed beverage, test your knowledge of all things mystical, and go on a guided tour through rarely-seen parts of the mansion. Holly Witchey PH.D, local Historian, will be on site to illuminate the history of spiritualism among Cleveland’s wealthiest residents.
The signature drink will be vodka-based “liquid ghosts,” non-alcoholic beverage options will also be available for purchase, and complimentary snacks will be provided. Parking will be discounted to a $5 flat rate for History on Tap attendees.
History on Tap happy hours will run the second Thursday of each month, from August-November at the Cleveland History Center, 5:00 -8:00 pm.
