Genealogical Committee | The U.S. Federal Census

January 9, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

GC

Presenter Linda Freeman, Genealogical Committee President. The U.S. Federal Census is one of the researcher’s most important, first records in genealogical research. But wait, there’s more. As the United States expanded from the 13 original colonies to 50 states, the U.S. Federal Census changed, too. This class will explore the history and evolution of the U.S. Census Bureau, advancements that changed the world, examples of political “intrigue” & cronyism, plus insights into evaluating the records: the Good, the Bad, and the just plain Wrong! Take this knowledge and use it after the presentation for hands-on research time with assistance from Committee members. Fee $15.
