Story topic this week…

Cleveland Boy Becomes Outlaw of Comedy
Michael Cheselka is not only a Brecksville native and Cleveland resident, but he spent a quarter of a century working as a nationally renowned comedian. As a kickoff to Cleveland’s Comedy Festival, Mike will join us at the Music Box to share stories from his years touring with the late Sam Kinison as one of ‘The Outlaws of Comedy.’ He toured with Kinison for three years and then spent another 20 years touring on his own, traveling to all 50 states and 17 foreign countries as a headlining comedian.

Stick around for Michael’s standup performance after the Dinner Party for just $10. More info here.

Michael Cheselka Bio

Michael Cheselka spent more than 15 years touring all 50 states and 17 foreign countries as a headlining comedian. His career spanned comedy clubs, colleges, cruise ships and cable-TV including appearances on HBO, Showtime, various sitcoms and several motion pictures. He began his career at the infamous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, and toured with the late Sam Kinison as one of the “Outlaws of Comedy.” Michael Currently practices law; working as a criminal defense trial-attorney, with his practice located in downtown Cleveland.

The goal of the Cleveland Stories Dinner Party is to bring to life some of the fun, interesting stories about Cleveland’s past – from sports, to rock ‘n roll, to Millionaire’s Row, — the series will focus on tidbits from Cleveland’s past that will really thrill the audience. The Music Box is presenting this series in partnership with the Western Reserve Historical Society’s new Cleveland History Center. We think the Cleveland History Center is one of the most important museums in Cleveland. An unknown gem that Clevelanders should know more about, and support. It is the only museum in Cleveland dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of Cleveland. The Cleveland History Center includes two mansions, the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum, Chisholm Halle Costume Wing, Research Library, Kidzibits Hands-On Gallery, rotating exhibitions, and the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel.
