1619 Reflection: “The Past is Present” (Virtual Program)

Professor Sherlynn Allen-Harris will lead audience members through a series of engaging film clips, articles, and interactive activities as they reflect on the theme that the past is indeed present and that 1619 is an inflection point for democracy’s beginnings in the North American Colonies.  We will also see that institutions of oppression and structural racism remain in place today.

This event is presented by the WRHS African American Archives Auxiliary.
