Black History on Tap: The Living Legacy of Leo’s Casino

Join us for an after-hours party honoring the legendary Leo’s Casino nightclub! Guests will immerse themselves in 1960’s Cleveland and enjoy the sights and sounds of the famous R&B and Jazz club. Event features include live music, archival images of the Legends that rocked Leo’s stage, themed activities, and a unique look at Cleveland’s past from the decade. Smithsonian Channel Screening: The Day We Walked on the Moon

1969, orbiting Earth, three astronauts Michael Collins, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin set out on a likely death mission that could only end in one of three ways: land, abort, or crash.

Join us Saturday, July 20th to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11  moon landing with a special screening of  Smithsonian Channel’s The Day We Walked on the Moon.

This special screening will be available for multiple viewings throughout the day and is free with museum admission.

This unique highlights tour with Euclid Beach Park expert John Frato focuses on stories and memories from the famous park while highlighting many pieces in the museum collection—including the 109 year old Grand Carousel from Euclid Beach Park! This tour is offered on Wednesday 7/17 only, in preparation for the Euclid Beach Park Day on Sat., July 20th.

About the exhibit:

Si Jolie! is about French fashion and all of the stories in between. It highlights how Paris fashion motivated Clevelanders to travel abroad, influenced local fashion, inspired the golden age of department stores, and how significant fashion was socially. Guests who visit this new exhibition will travel back in time and experience how fashion and travel have evolved over the years and how similar Clevelanders then were to those living here today.
