Volunteers at the Western Reserve Historical Society Take History Personally
Since 1867, Volunteers have contributed to the operations of the Western Reserve Historical Society. On average and in just one year, 500 volunteers contribute 15,000 hours of time, by sharing their stories, knowledge and skills. Here are a few of their stories.
You too can join the long-time legacy of volunteerism at WRHS and become a part of our history.
Currently at the History Center in University Circle we are seeking volunteers to lead historic house tours and for a assistant volunteer membership oordinator.

How can you share your time?
- Long-Term Volunteering – An ongoing commitment for 6 months or more.
- Short-Term or Project Based Volunteering – volunteer projects with an end date.
- Community or Organizational Group Volunteering - Done in a Day Projects for large groups of 5 or more.
- High School Senior Service Projects
- Special Event Volunteers - Intermittent Volunteering on an as needed/as available basis.
- Join a Friends Group or Auxiliary of WRHS
