Sounds of The Western Reserve Historical Society The Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) and From the Heart Productions are proud to announce the release of Sounds of The Western Reserve Historical Society, a CD that presents a wide range of historic sounds in creative and innovative interpretive audio segments and stories. Many of the historic sounds were recorded at Hale Farm & Village, The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum and The History Museum - all WRHS properties. They include: 19th century bells, a stationary steam engine-driven saw mill, antique automobiles, segments from The Cleveland National Air Show, early 20th century vaudeville sound effect instruments and many others. The CD celebrates our collective past while educating and entertaining through stories, soundscapes and historical vignettes. Sounds and stories incorporated on the CD were recorded and produced by Jeff Moyer, a Cleveland-based producer, writer and musician with funding from the George B. Storer Foundation. The CD is one hour and sixteen minutes in length. Copies are available from the Past & Present Museum Store (both the WRHS East Boulevard location and Hale Farm & Village) and through From The Heart Productions, a division of Music From The Heart, www.jeffmoyer.com. Copies are $15.95 plus sales tax (within Ohio), shipping and handling. Review copies are available upon request. Contact Jeff Moyer directly at 440 442-2779. |
