A Timeline of Philanthropy, Charity, and Non-profit Organizations in Cleveland, Ohio

This timeline is the result of a collaboration between the Philanthropic Archives and the Foundation Center-Cleveland. In the spirit of celebrating philanthropy and acknowledging Ohio’s bicentennial year the timeline is intended to provide an introduction to the events that helped form Cleveland’s vibrant nonprofit community over the past 200 years.
