Good Morning! I know you meet people from all over the country but we just wanted to tell you again, how much we enjoyed our visit to Hale Farm. We wish you the best in keeping this program running, it is a first class program. We try and visit these types of programs across the country and yours is first class all the way. It was nice talking with you that day on our visit to the farm.
Have a great summer with the farm.
Sincerely, Bea and David O'Dell Mishawaka,Ind.
I love Hale Farm!
I've been to Hale Farm during the past two summers and enjoyed it! My first time there was in June 1995 and my second time was in August 2000. I've been back there a few more times and intend to go back to Hale Farm several more times this summer. I like those historic houses such as the Goldsmith House and the Saltbox House, etc. I've been to other farm museums such as the Carroll County Farm Museum in Maryland, Fruitlands in Massachusetts, Philipsburg Manor in New York and Cades Cove in Tennessee, but Hale Farm is more fascinating! The authentic old houses, furnishings and the hostesses in period dresses make my visit to Hale Farm like going back to the days of my great-great grandparents.

I just wanted to let you know that my homeschool group had a wonderful time at Hale Farm yesterday! The staff was very friendly, informative, and did a great job engaging the children. All of our children were very attentive and they too had a wonderful time. We look forward to visiting you again in the future.
Sincerely, April Woodland Fellowship and Friends
Hi Back in October I visited Hale Farm with my wife and son whilst on a vacation trip from England. We were visiting a cousin in Munroe Falls and they took us to the farm and village on a Sunday afternoon. We found all the exhibits fascinating, and it was interesting to compare the American way of life at the time with life in the UK and similar museums had visited in Germany. Being history buffs we never tire of exploring historical sites in the States, and Hale Farm is in the top 5 in my books.
It was refreshing to be able to enter the buildings and see artefacts and furniture of the period and to be able to listen to the knowledgeable guides. The site was well laid out and the scenery was wonderful. As an added bonus the temperature was in the 80s and a lot warmer than the UK at the time!
I would readily recommend this museum to anyone wanting to see a "slice" of American history in all it's natural glory, and is a must for school children as it is not stuffy or boring.
Thanks for the experience, and good luck for the future
Chris
"Hello! I just wanted to send a quick e-mail about the great experience my family and I had a few weeks ago at Hale Farm and Village. We were in Hudson, visiting my parents, and my mom suggested that we go over to Hale Farm. Suffice to say, we had a fantastic time. My wife and I were both surprised at how much time we wanted to spend there... We had expected it to be a two hour visit or so; instead, we were there for four hours and only left because we had to get home (to Columbus). This is saying a lot, because we have four children aged 1-6... They normally don't let us do anything for four hours at a time!
The particular reason for this e-mail is the wonderful impact it had on our oldest child, David. He and his brother both got Union soldier caps at the gift store, and his enthusiasm inspired me to pick up some books about the Civil War at our local library. It was pretty cool to see him sitting on the couch reading the Gettysburg Address and deciding to wear his cap to school. (At our parent/teacher conference the other day, we saw some short stories David wrote about his visit to Hale Farm.) I made a comment one day to David about what an important and interesting time period the Civil War was, and he said, "Yeah! Especially when you've gone to Hale Farm!" It was a couple of weeks after our visit that he said that, and I thought you would like to know.
