The
room has a delightful pink floor and a Turkish Corner where Mollie
read and rested. That corner and the ebonized furniture make Mollie's
room the most fashionable living area in the house.

Daughter
Mollie's bedroom, located across the hall from the Study, is interpreted
to the period 1880-1888, when it was occupied by Mollie. She was
13 years old in 1880, and married in 1888. Mollie probably continued
to use the room whenever she visited her mother, as well as when
she resided at Lawnfield during her husband's travels with the
U.S. Geological Survey.
