Interpreted to the period 1885-1904, this comfortably furnished second floor bedroom is where Lucretia and James once stayed together on their visits to the farm. From 1898-1904 Lucretia, in her late 60s and early 70s, used this bedroom and dressing room only during the temperate months of the year.

Its walls are full of drawings made by the children, and two paintings--one of Neddie and of "Trot," as they called their eldest daughter, the children who died so young.

The wall paper is a lovely blue floral pattern. The trim is painted blue-green and the moulding is gilt. To recreate the wallpaper and paint scheme of this room, researchers used receipts and bills from the various purchases made from different household art companies.
