The Memorial Library, located off the landing on the second floor, is probably the most dramatic part of Lucretia's addition to the house.Designed by Forrest A. Coburn of Cleveland, its carved white oak panels and shelving and brilliant brass gasoliers make the perfect setting for the President's extensive Library, which is still housed on its shelves.

One can imagine how the family used this room and the special meaning it must have had for them. An especially memorable family event held here in 1888 was the double wedding of two of the Garfield children, Mollie and Harry.
