August 9-11, 2013 in Northeast Ohio


Thousands of visitors and re-enactors flock to Hale Farm & Village annually for this popular summertime event—one of the largest Civil War reenactments in Ohio. Meet soldiers and civilians. Hear the sounds of battle and smell the gunpowder. Shake hands with President Lincoln or shop for a hoopskirt. Don’t miss the excitement!

Civil War Commanders joining us during this year's event: Bob Minton of the Army of the Ohio and Christopher Smith of Birney's Division head up the Union forces and Nick Medich of the Kings Brigade, 1st Confederate Divsion/Medich's Battalion leads the Confederates in the battle.

Admission: 
General admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 3 - 12 years of age. Members of the WRHS and children 0-2 years old are admitted free.

Special admission rates are $6.00 for handi-capped/mentally challenged adults, $6.00 for handicapped/mentally challenged children, $6.00 for chaperones (varies), and wheelchairs are no charge.

Listen to the Drums of August and see the invasion of Civil War re-enactors at Hale Farm & Village for this weekend only. This is a unique opportunity to stroll among soldier tents, bump into Abraham Lincoln and even do some shopping for great historic items. Experience a re-created Civil War battle, just yards away from your eyes. From Fashion to Soldiers, this is a weekend you don’t want to miss.

Civil War Reenactment Ball

Enjoy an evening of dancing in the mid-19th century at the Hale Farm & Village Civil War Ball with Hale Farm and Civil War reenactors. Join in the Virginia Reel and spin back to the Civil War era. 8:00-10:30pm. $5 Admission and reservations required. Call 330-666-3711 x1720 for more information and to purchase tickets.
